and a Coronavirus spotlight: catching up with San Francisco.
Craving a trip abroad? If you have a negative Covid-19 test certificate to hand, look no further than the captivating Caucasian nation of Armenia. From its historic capital, Yerevan, to mountainside monasteries, crumbling Roman temples and iconic Soviet memorabilia – not to mention an enigmatic memorial to the Armenian alphabet – we've collated some of Armenia's top sights to get you excited.
Over in the USA, meanwhile, we checked in with Hubertus Funke from the San Francisco Travel Association to find out how the City by the Bay was coping with coronavirus. Having declared a state of emergency back in February, San Francisco has fared much better than most American cities.
Have fun,

In early August, the small Caucasus republic of Armenia announced it was reopening to international tourists – once you've had a negative Covid-19 test. In celebration of Armenia's reopening, we've gathered a list of the top sights and activities in this beautiful, historic country.
San Francisco is impossibly picturesque, with its steep streets, superlative vistas and candy-coloured houses. Located in Northern California, San Fran is one of the USA's most progressive cities. It was ahead of the curve in its response to coronavirus, too, declaring a state of emergency at the end of February. We caught up with Hubertus Funke, Executive Vice President & Chief Tourism Officer at the San Francisco Travel Association, to find out more about the city's experience of Covid-19, and its plans for the future.
