Spain has finally reopened its borders, hailing the start of a long-awaited summer season for many travellers. Only those from selected high-risk countries need proof of vaccination or a negative test result to enter; but as always, check your own government advice before travelling.
The thought of sinking our feet into soft sand and letting the Spanish sun beat down on us is what's keeping us going!
A bit closer to home (for some of us, anyway), Canada's Bay of Fundy is an ideal holiday destination for summer 2021. It is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of North America, after all. Book onto a small-group tour of the Saint John's Reversing Falls Rapids and marvel at an unusual sight: an underwater waterfall.
It's the news that travellers around the globe have been waiting to hear: Spain has finally reopened its borders. We can't wait to tuck into cones of Jam贸n in Malaga, stroll down the tree-lined Las Ramblas in Barcelona or go surfing in San Sebastian.
As always, check your own government's regulations – UK travellers still have to quarantine on return – so some of us will have to dream of that visit for a little while longer yet.
It's easy to lose track of time in the Bay of Fundy. Discover 300-million-year-old fossils and world-class wildlife before heading out on a caviar safari and sleeping the night away in a tree-suspended pod.
Dreaming of getting away? Don't miss out on the chance to buy a Rough Guide guidebook for just £5 from trusted UK retailer, Books etc. Not only will you save up to 70% on the usual book price, but postage won't cost you a penny either.
