 We stand with Ukraine At times like these, it's hard to see the future. Last week, on February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine, igniting an unprovoked war. In the days since, the stories, videos, images and posts from Ukraine have overwhelmed us and inspired us. Witnessing heroism and bravery of this magnitude fills our collective soul as we all grapple with this horrific moment in real time.
We here at Lonely Planet believe that travel is a force for good, and our aim is to encourage connection and understanding, to inspire everyone, particularly travelers, to see their fellow humans as friends and neighbors. And in spite of all this awfulness, and maybe because of it, we want to continue our mission to inspire people to get out there and see the world, however and whenever it is safe and responsible to do so.
