Kids from around the globe competed in our 2023 Kids World Championships, while the adults (and more than a few kids) took on a unique 5K Sprint with 20 obstacles at the Caribbean's premier resort destination. The weekend began with a heartwarming Parade of Nations, where racers from 15 countries gathered to celebrate the value of international competition. The event was the first time ever big kids world championship participants actually ran a (modified) adult sprint course, making it the first time any of them have actually thrown a real Spartan spear, or tackled Olympus and the other adult obstacles, albeit with modifications.
The day ended with podium celebrations that included young Spartans from United States, United Kingdom, China, and Czech Republic, while plenty of families loaded up on medals. | |  | Atlantis Paradise Island
Grayson West, only 14 years old, became a two-time kids champ, and actually turned in the fastest time of the weekend.
The husband-and-wife team of Mark Batres and Natalie Miano won the men's and women's Elite divisions in the Sprint 5K, the first time a couple has come in first and second overall. Their son, Mark Batres III, also had a strong race.
