  | It's official - the 2025 DEKA World Championship Weekend will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from December 5-7, 2025. This epic weekend will feature three thrilling days of hybrid fitness racing where the best DEKA athletes across multiple divisions will face off for the coveted title of World Champion. Expect peak action and unmatched energy inside the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center while enjoying beachfront views and tropical weather in December outside the venue.
Sounds amazing, right? So you're probably wondering - how do I get in?
The DEKA World Championship is an invite-only event, and the only way to get a spot is to earn one by securing a top 15 (or rolldown) spot on the 2025 DEKA Global Leaderboard when the qualifying season ends on September 15th. But here's the great news - there are hundreds of opportunities for you to lock in your spot between now and September. So let's get into how you can do just that and secure your spot at the start line at the 2025 DEKA World Championship Weekend. | | | |  | The DEKA World Championship Weekend is broken down into three days of nonstop action, with each day featuring one of the core DEKA events. This year, it will go down like this:
Friday, December 5th: DEKA FIT (10 DEKA functional fitness Zones preceded by 500 meters of running, or 5K total)
Saturday, December 6th: DEKA MILE (10 DEKA Zones preceded by 160 meters of running, or 1 mile total)
Sunday, December 7th: DEKA STRONG (10 DEKA Zones, no running)
Each day will include intense action in each DEKA division, incuding:
Elite: The best of the best turning in blazing-fast times in front of a stunned crowd of spectators.
Age Group: Top athletes across all individual age groups face off each other for World Championship glory.
Ruck: Athletes brave enough to take on the DEKA arena while wearing a weighted pack will compete in one of two divisions - 44 and under and Masters 45+.
Elite Teams: The top overall male, female, and co-ed teams will hit the arena in an adrenaline-filled sprint to the finish.
Age Group Teams: Male, female, and co-ed teams across all five DEKA Teams age groups have their chance to earn the title of World Champion.
While the 2025 DEKA World Championship is invite-only, there are many ways for you to find your way into one or multiple divisions across all three days. | | | |  | The 2025 DEKA qualifying season ends on Monday, September 15, 2025. Athletes who land in the top 15 spots in their division on the 2025 DEKA Global Leaderboard will get the first round of invites to the 2025 DEKA World Championship. Rolldown invites will follow for heats that are not filled by the top 15 and continue until heats are filled.
Simply put, if you want to earn an invite to the 2025 DEKA World Championship, your goal is to earn a Top 15 spot in your chosen division (Elite, Age Group, Ruck, Elite/Overall Teams and Age Group Teams at DEKA FIT, DEKA MILE or DEKA STRONG). You can do this at ANY DEKA event between now and September 15th. No matter how many times you compete at a DEKA event, your top time will always be the time showing on the DEKA Global Leaderboard.
So here are your action steps from here:
1. Check the 2025 DEKA Global Leaderboard early and often - with 10-40 events taking place around the world every single weekend, placement shake-ups are a regular thing. But you can see where you stand, and what DEKA Mark will get you where you want to be. That's your area of focus going forward.
2. Sign up for DEKA STRONG, DEKA MILE, and DEKA FIT events in your area - or compete out of town and make a race-cation out of it. Every event is an opportunity for a new PR and a new opportunity to punch your ticket to the Big Show.
3. Train at your local DEKA Affiliate Gym in between events. There's no better way to improve your zone splits, your DEKA Mark, and your overall Road to World Champs training than at one of our go-to expert coaches at DEKA Affililate Gyms.
