| | | TREMBLANT, CANADA | | Nearly 6,800 Spartans descended upon the beast of a mountain at Mont-Tremblant, where gorgeous sunny skies did nothing to soften the wild, technical trails, steep inclines, and fast, windy descents of this iconic Canadian course. Athletes battled across every distance from the 5K Sprint to the formidable Ultra, with Sunday's Age Group National Series Super showcasing an incredible display of speed and resilience. Yet, the weekend's true story was its powerful community spirit, perfectly embodied by an unbelievable finish line proposal that almost never happened. After a gentleman lost the engagement ring on course, he improvised with a Ring Pop for his finish line proposal—only for the real ring to be miraculously found by a fellow Spartan at the barbed wire crawl and returned, proving Tremblant's heart is as mighty as its peak. | | | | OXFORD, MICHIGAN | | The raw, unforgiving landscape of the Koenig Materials sand and gravel pit near Oxford for a legendary Michigan beatdown this past weekend. They battled through a punishing mix of rolling, muddy hills, ankle-twisting sand pockets, and iconic obstacles that demanded relentless forward motion under the mid-June sun. From the fast-paced 5K to the grueling Infinity endurance challenge, this was a pure test of Midwest grit where teamwork was the ultimate secret weapon and every headband was earned together. | | | | KULMBACH, GERMANY | | Over 4,500 Spartans from 32 countries descended upon Kulmbach, where they were immediately confronted by blazing 30°C+ heat and a course leading from the city center up to the historic Plassenburg Castle. In the fiercely competitive Germany/Austrian National Series Beast, Germany's own Christian Kraus and Czech powerhouse Lucie Cerna delivered dominant performances, conquering both the elite field and the punishing sun. This was a pure war of attrition against relentless elevation and oppressive heat, where every medal earned on that historic course was a testament to enduring a true trial by fire. | | | | SAINTE-CROIX, SWITZERLAND | | Sainte-Croix unleashed a weekend of historic firsts during their first-ever Beast race and Night Sprint. In the debut of the Switzerland National Series Beast, world champion Gregory Basilico absolutely dominated, shattering the course record for his third consecutive Sainte-Croix victory against a world-class field. Yet, the ultimate display of grit belonged to Leslie Lejeune, who, just minutes after winning the women's Beast, jumped back on course to crush the Super as well. | | | |
