1	Rooted in Kauai History — The Ko'a Kea Hotel rose from the ashes of the old Po'ipu Beach Hotel, which was devastated by Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Ko'a Kea means white coral in Hawaiian, which celebrates the rebirth of the resort, and guests will find coral decor and themes throughout the resort as a nod to this.
2	Hula Lessons, Water Sports, and More — The hotel partnered with Lynn of iHula Hawaii to teach guests the techniques and storytelling behind traditional Hawaiian hula dance. To stay active, there's also daily oceanfront yoga and an on-site adventure hut with snorkel gear, surf and paddle boards, and traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoes.
