New Rulings on Georgia Election A Georgia judge recently issued two critical decisions back-to-back concerning this November's election in the state.
On Oct. 14, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ruled that Georgia county officials must certify election results by the statutory deadline regardless of irregularities or suspected fraud. On the following day, the same judge blocked a planned hand count of ballots on election night, ruling it would add "uncertainty and disorder" to the process given the election is just weeks away.
