WEEKEND RECAP GROUNDWORKS
Zandvoort, Netherlands
Spartan Zandvoort unleashed an unparalleled test of traction and endurance as 4,000 Trifecta weekend warriors charged a course uniquely weaving through the iconic Formula 1 circuit, treacherous dunes, and the windswept North Sea beach. Saturday was a relentless onslaught of rain and wind, transforming the F1 tarmac, city streets, and sandy shores into a brutal battle of the elements. Dutch elites like Alec Blokland, Eva van Ee, Stijn Lagrand, and Ninthe Roosenbrand dominated their home turf amidst the chaos, with Germany's Manuela Hill impressively hitting podiums in both, while Night Sprinters later pierced the darkness.
Cesenatico, Italy
The historic Italian seaside town of Cesenatico, famed for its Da Vinci-designed harbor, was transformed into a grueling Spartan arena this past weekend, drawing thousands to test their mettle on its deceptively "flat and fast" course.

Spartans didn't just battle obstacles; they fought against the soul-draining sand of the Adriatic coast and plunged into the sea, with every step a testament to raw power and endurance under the Italian sky. The Italy National Series Sprint saw fierce competition among Switzerland, Italy and Czech Republic for the Elite category - won by Luca Pezzani and Klara Lokajickova - while Age Groupers showcased incredible strength and resilience. The Swiss men's team conquered the Super race on Saturday (thanks to Luca Pezzani, Manuel Dufaux and Hansueli Frei) while an amazing Agata Pietroszek conquered the Italian's Camilla Depoli and Viviana Marri.
Chiba, Japan
Chiba's popular flower garden park, a six-time Spartan host, was absolutely overrun by the energy of over 7,200 Spartans this past weekend, offering a dramatic two-act play of racing conditions for the Super and National Series Sprint. Saturday's Super saw lightning-fast times under perfect skies, but Sunday transformed the venue for the Sprint, as overnight rain and morning downpours created a slick, muddy battlefield later whipped by strong winds, truly testing the athletes.
Komárno, Slovakia
Komárno's medieval fortress and the legendary Danube River transformed for 3,500 Spartans and 1,200 fearless kids who descended upon the Slovakian border city. Under fair 65-degree skies, racers didn't just observe history; they charged directly through it. While Slovakia's own men proudly dominated the top podium spots and Night Sprinters pierced the darkness, the weekend also pulsed with incredible heart, as Spartan Slovakia generously donated 12,000 EUR to a children's health foundation for the Charity heat.
Valle de Bravo, Mexico
Spartan Mexico hosted 2,000 warriors this past weekend in the forest town of Valle de Bravo, a getaway near Mexico City. The Mexican National Series Super served up punishing climbs through dense woods and rugged terrain, with a late drenching rain turning the final, hard-fought kilometers into a slick, treacherous battle. This weekend was a raw display of grit, where every Spartan dug deep against the elements and unforgiving trails to prove their mettle in the heart of Mexico.
